Thailand's top party hostels for backpackers

This is the ultimate list of party hostels all over Thailand in one place. You can have crazy adventures, try everything at least once and experience all that Thailand has to offer by day, and by night you can party hard with travellers from all over the world in hostels that cater to party loving backpackers. Whoo, that was quite a sentence.
My first trip to Thailand when I was 23 was all solo. I wanted to meet people, make friends, have fun and get a little crazy away from home, in a place I could be anybody I wanted to be. It was one of the best experiences of my life and Thailand still remains one of my favourite destinations today.
Although many of the hostels I stayed at in 2012 have changed hands or closed down, I still remember the qualities of a good social hostel, and if I were doing it all over again today, these are the hostels I would have chosen.
All hostels mentioned below have at least an 8/10 approval rating across all factors such as cleanliness, location, value and staff friendliness. While they are party hostels, they aren’t at the cost of being a decent hostels. Nobody wants to party at a dump.
A few hostels came up frequently during my searches. One is Slumberparty, which is Thailand’s consistently top rated party hostel group. If you’re in Ao Nang Beach, Krabi, Koh Phangan, Phuket, Bangkok or Chiang Mai check these guys out first, they really have perfected the art of the party hostel.
The other hostel I recommend is Mad Monkey, who were around in 2012 when I first travelled Southeast Asia and I stayed with them in Cambodia. Of course, they wouldn’t have stuck around so long on the backpackers’ scene if they weren’t a hostel favourite. They also have hostels in Thailand, the Philippines and Australia.
Almost all hostels listed here are limited to guests aged 18-35 years, mainly for guest safety. If you’re looking for chill but social hostels, there are many others to choose from. Thailand has something for everyone.

Bangkok
Playground Hostel Bangkok

The Famous Pai Circus Hostel
Circus hostel is a place like no other anywhere in the world! Circus is the only hostel in Pai with a luxury view point infinity swimming pool and a mountain view to die for. All staff are lady boys, and they’re located only 700 meters from the night market.
Almost every night they have free entertainment such as fire shows, bonfires, pool parties, open mic, quiz nights and competition as well as free curries and Pad Thai. They’re a party hostel, but they shut everything down by midnight so people can sleep.
You can spend your days lounging in a hammock by the pool, hanging out with the hostel Labrador named Jack Daniels, or exploring Pai by motorbike.
