The Times They Are A Changin'

Banquets and Backpacks will be no more, the site name that is. I’ve rebranded to The Travel Natural to reflect a direction change this blog is taking.

There are a few reasons behind this change:

One is that my blog is veering away from food/travel and more towards New Zealand travel. With my career as a chef, the last thing I want to do at the end of a long day is to write about food.

Another is that Banquets and Backpacks is just too much of a mouthful. It’s a long and clunky URL that isn’t particularly memorable or simple to type.

I’ve wanted to make this tiny but important change for a while. Everything else on this site is staying mostly the same; there will be more New Zealand travel and guides coming up and a peppering of Southeast Asia and South America travel experiences in between.

This is how my site looked a year ago today when I hit publish, so while I’ve had chance since then to play around with my site's appearance I needed a new name to match as well.
