Kia Ora guys, phew another month gone, eh?

October has actually been pretty busy for us travel wise. Right at the beginning of the month we road tripped up to Russell for a few days. We’ve also done a fair bit of hiking in Egmont National Park walking both the short Mangaoraka loop and the Kapuni loop to Dawson Falls. All this hiking is in preparation for climbing Mt Taranaki early next year –a first for both of us despite growing up here. I figured if I shared this on the internet I’d be more inclined to actually climb the mountain instead of just talking about it for another year.

I’ve begun using Photoshop Lightroom to enhance my photographs – I’ve uploaded them unedited before this month and I wished I begun sooner, they look so much more professional. I’ve made a few small design changes to my destination page to make this site look a little more modern, and I’ve changed from Facebook comments to Disqus comments so I can keep track of the feedback.

You also may have noticed that I’ve popped a little advertising space in my side bar. I’m going to be giving away a month’s free advertising in December. What I’m up to in November:

Later this week I’m heading down to Wellington to catch Te Papa’s (national museum) Gallipoli exhibition designed by Weta Workshops.

When the weather is clear again I’ll be out cycling the coast and showing you more of rural New Zealand.
